Ballingslöv International’s vision is ”We are a leading supplier of kitchen, bathroom and storage systems in selected markets”. Through our different brands we offer a wide selection of products for the private market as well as the project market.

The Group’s many concepts reach more than ten different markets, mostly in Europe, through a variety of distribution channels, primarily speciality stores and home-improvement chains. Manufacturing takes place at production sites in Sweden, Denmark and England.

The business model changes depending on the market and the distribution channel. The Group’s offer in terms of selection and brands are customised in close collaboration with the customers.

Today, Ballingslöv International is an international Group in terms of kitchen, bathroom and storage solutions and is one of the leading companies in the European market.

    The Ballingslöv carpentry

    The Ballingslöv story begins in 1929, when Albin Svensson establishes Ballingslövs Träförädling. Thanks to dedicated investments, in good times as well as bad, kitchen cabinets from Ballingsta in southern Sweden are soon a nationwide concept to be reckoned with. Thanks to great visions and strong commitment, the company grows along with the development of the people’s home (Folkhemmet) and over the years the company launches several bestselling series.

    Acquisitions

    In 1974, kitchen appliances Group Electrolux acquires Ballingslöv. From the start, Ballingslöv is the backbone in a carpentry division and by the end of the 1980s, the first steps are taken towards creating a Group.

    In 1989 Ballingslöv buys Danish worktop manufacturer dfi A/S and in 1990 British Kingfisher Wood Products Ltd is acquired.

    Group formation and listing

    In 1998 Electrolux sells Ballingslöv to venture capital company EQT. The business is made into a Group which today has become the parent company Ballingslöv International AB.

    In 2000, Ballingslöv International AB buys Danish kitchen manufacturer JKE Design A/S.

    In June 2002, Ballingslöv is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

    Danish acquisitions

    As a listed company, the Group buys the Danish kitchen manufacturer Multiform A/S in February 2003, and in April 2005, Denmark’s second largest kitchen company, Kvik A/S, is acquired.
 In November 2006, Danish worktop manufaturer, Geislergruppen A/S, is acquired and in January 2007 the Danish manufacturer of storage solutions, 3BO A/S.

    Delisting from the Stockholm Stock Exchange

    In the summer of 2008 Stena Adactum become owners of about 80% of the stock through acquisition offers. In December that same year, Ballingslöv International is delisted from The Stockholm Stock Exchange and listed on Alternativa Marknaden (Alternative Market) instead.

    New UK acquisitions

    In June 2010, British company Offspec is acquired. Offspec offers kitchen, bathroom and storage solutions to high end apartments in London. Offspec is integrated with the existing business in the UK which at that point also changes its name to KWP Interiors Ltd.

    Stena Adactum sole proprietor and additional acquisitions

    Ballingslöv International AB becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Stena Adactum AB.
    Ballingslöv International acquires Macro International AB, one of the leading companies in terms of shower systems in Sweden and Norway.

    Paula Rosa Manhattan

    In January 2013 the UK operations Manhattan is acquired. Combined with Paula Rosa formed; Paula Rosa Manhattan – one of Britain’s absolute leading manufacturer of interiors for the new-build market.
